Ongoing Renovations at the Museum
The Museum of Public Transport in Wallonia has begun major renovation work, focusing on the building’s roof and the cafeteria area. These improvements are part of a broader effort to preserve the site’s heritage and enhance the visitor experience.
Weekend/Public Holiday Closures – Roof Works
As part of the ongoing roof renovation at the Museum of Public Transport, please be informed that the museum will be closed to the public on weekends and public holidays until further notice.
These necessary works, aimed at preserving our heritage, have a temporary impact on the visitor experience: some vehicles will not be accessible, and overall comfort may be reduced.
Adjusted Admission Fee:
To reflect these special conditions, we are adjusting our admission pricing:
Entry will be exceptionally set at €2 for all visitors until the museum’s annual winter closure on December 1, 2025.
This rate applies on weekdays only, when the museum remains open.
We thank you for your understanding and remain at your disposal for any further information.
We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to welcome you back under optimal conditions very soon.

Cafeteria
The cafeteria will be closed on weekends, public holidays, and every weekday morning.
MORE THAN TWO CENTURIES OF THE HISTORY OF MOBILITY: FROM YESTERYEAR’S HORSE-DRAWN CARRIAGES TO THE URBAN TRANSPORT MEANS OF THE FUTURE.
Gear up to discover horse-drawn carriages, horse-drawn and electric trams, trolleybuses, buses, etc. Sound effects, interactive displays and audio-visual features complete the exhibition.
The exhibition route not only looks to the past, but also to the present and the stakes of mobility today, as well as to innovative sustainable mobility projects in Belgium and throughout the world.
