What if mobility could be discovered in pocket size? The Transport Museum presents Playmobility, an original temporary exhibition created by the Liège-based association Oufti Playmo. Through a series of carefully crafted Playmobil dioramas directly inspired by the museum’s collections, the exhibition invites visitors of all ages to take a fresh — and playful — look at the history of transport.
Integrated into the permanent exhibition route, these miniature scenes overflowing with detail interact with the life-sized historic vehicles. Trams, buses, vintage cars, urban life and the daily experiences of travellers are all revisited in Playmobil form, creating a visit that is both fun and cultural. Throughout the exhibition, visitors can enjoy spotting the many hidden references and playful details within the scenes — a challenge suitable for the whole family!
Extending the museum’s mission to make the history of mobility accessible to everyone, Playmobility is an invitation to (re)discover the collections from an unexpected perspective, combining nostalgia, creativity and good humour.
Festive Weekend: July 11 & 12
To dive even deeper into the world of the exhibition, a festive weekend will take place on July 11 and 12. The programme includes additional dioramas, demonstrations and creative workshops for the whole family. A great opportunity to extend the visit and enjoy the museum in a lively and friendly atmosphere. Extended opening hours: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
